英国学术论文替换词
1.individuals, characters替换(people ,persons)
2. positive, favourable, rosy (美好的)，promising(有希望的)，perfect, pleasurable, excellent, outstanding, superior替换good
3. dreadful, unfavorable, poor, adverse, ill (有害的)替换bad
注：如果bad做表语，可以有be less impressive替换
e.g.： An army of college students indulge themselves in playing games, enjoying romance with girls/boys or killing time passively in their dorms. When it approaches to graduation，as a result, they find their academic records are less impressive.
4. (an army of, an ocean of, a sea of, a multitude of ,a host of, many, if not most)替换many.
注：用many, if not most 一定要小心，many后一定要有词。
e.g.: Many individuals, if not most, harbour the idea that….同理，用most, if not all ,替换most.

除了这些在论文中用来表达观点较为常用的高级替换词外还有一些列在论文写作中非常常用但是往往容易被同学们忽略的关键点-既文章中的连接词的替换：
使用连词代替“BUT”
连词是用来连接一个句子的两个部分，如“but”、“and” 和 “because”。“But”这个词不仅连接了一个句子的两个部分，同时也构成了一个对比(例如“它很好吃，但是用料不是很好”)。在这些情况下，“but” 可以用以下其中一个词来代替:
–Although, 比如: I love jogging, although my feet hurt afterwards.
–Though, 比如: I haven’t slept for 2 days, though I hope tonight I can rest properly.
–Yet, 比如: It was scary, yet I still want to go back and try again.
使用状语代替“BUT”
除了连词，你还可以用副词或副词短语来连接和对比两个不同的点。也许最常用的是“however”，所以我们就用这个词来说明这些单词如何代替“but”。
关键的区别在于：虽然essay连接词通常在一个句子中连接两个从句，但副词“however”会在两个独立的句子之间形成对比:
–连词对比: I love jogging, but my feet hurt afterwards.
–状语对比: I love jogging. However, my feet hurt afterwards.
正如您所看到的，当您想用对比来开始一个新句子时，这是非常方便的。话虽如此，“however”一词也可以出现在句子中间或分号之后，例如
It was scary. I still, however, want to go back.
It was scary; however, I still want to go back.
其他可以代替but的状语有:
–Nonetheless, 比如: I ran as fast as I could; nonetheless, I haven’t won the race.
–Nevertheless, 比如: It seemed like a really bad plan. Nevertheless, it worked.
–Despite this, 比如: I prepared for the game thoroughly. Despite this, I lost.
–Having said that, 比如: I will never drink again. Having said that, pass me a beer.
最后要说的一点是，“but”的另一种说法是“on the other hand”。不过，通常情况下，只有在用“On the one hand”来介绍时才应该使用“on the other hand”这个词:
On the one hand, I’ve always been dreaming to work for this company. On the other hand, I will have to move to another country and leave my family and friends.
除了以上这两种主要的词性的转折词外，以下也是一些常见essay代写中的转折词，当然，他们也可以代替“BUT”。
